Short Thermal Clip - Barn Owl Hunting

Shot this last week with my Helion, quite lucky to get it on film I think.

See this Barn Owl a lot when I am out ratting and it always seems to stare me telling me to leave his bloody quarry alone.

Re: Pulsar Updates

All of my tests were done by transferring the files to my PC, the files now won't play using Windows Media Player, but work using VLC player.

Was your test using a Trail or a Helion, if it was a Trail was the sound volume OK?

Re: Pulsar Updates

Well it's not all rosy unfortunately, the Helion works fine but the sound on my Trail is very very quiet and not great quality, so still needs a bit of work.

If anybody else who has a Trail can give it a go and post up their results I would appreciate it.

Re: Pulsar Updates

Well the Helion and Trail updates are out, I have had a quick play with my Helion and you can definitely alter the brightness of the display icons and the there is now sound on the videos, but you have to remember to turn the microphone on first.

Re: Beware of dealing with scott country

Somewhat off topic but apparently SC have a contract with the RSPB to supply thermal and NV gear for controlling foxes on their reserves (at least in Scotland). I don't have a problem with controlling foxes to reduce predation on ground nesting birds, but the RSPB stay extremely quiet about it and ...

Remington 17gr 17HMR Ammo

I have 8 x 50 boxes of Remington 17gr 17 HMR Ammo.

Bought last year.

£10 per box collected from SE Essex with your FAC. Way cheaper than any gun shop.

Buy the lot and I will throw in a part box of Winchester 17gr and a few more odd Remington as well.

Also advertised elsewhere

You can't seem to find any info about the updates from Pulsar anywhere.

Both mine are on 02.02.011.F
