Re: ADDONIGHT

One aspect of these various units seems to have not been discussed anywhere that I have seen: Are people getting the fairly common radiation eye sting from these with their higher resolution near eye viewers? I have no agenda in this query as I won't be making any more rigs after my current batch o...

Re: Starlight arrow

Don`t waste your time and money. Keep a look out for a 2nd hand Ward unit. Absolutely - I've been down the same route with the NS200 and got fed up with the wires and head up, crick in the neck shooting position. Bought the Ward 700 3 years ago and haven't looked back since. Don't forget that you w...

Re: Winchester 42 grain Subsonic

My shooting companion uses a Brno with the Win 40's and has always been satisfied with them. I went out last night and everything was faultless with the Win 42's so I think it's a case of ' if it aint broke don't fix it'..........oh and stop watching Youtube.

Re: Winchester 42 grain Subsonic

Thank you for information. Quite honestly I bought the CZ some years ago and the rfd gave me a box of Winchester subs with the comment' you'll happy with those' and so I, and the CZ, have been. The 40 grain produced good groups and the 42 grain slightly better with no adjustments required. I was abo...

Winchester 42 grain Subsonic

Very pleased with these but seem to be getting a lot of 'definitely not subsonic' shots lately, five in a row last night, literally echoing off adjacent hillsides and woodland. The sixth shot went of with the usual 'phut' and the louder noise of the bullet strike. The outfit is a CZ455 Varmint with ...

Re: Ward D Vision 800 - Further improvements

Will the power switch be altered? That's my only grip with it, so easy to catch and turn on when in your bag .. maybe a cover for it or something? I have not had this happen to me but never the less it seems others have. I used a plastic top from a mineral water bottle - make two holes near the top...

Re: Ultimate Fox Bait?

I tried doing this about 5 years ago. The mixture is still sitting in the plastic container. I just never got round to using it. What with all to other stuff I carry when out in the field. Maybe I should give it a go, the thing is on some of the places I go the farmers keep a bait point going all y...

Re: Ultimate Fox Bait?

Cheers for the input fellows it is reassuring to see that there is still some interest in this method as the thread was quite an old one. A friend and myself are going to try this but as noted obtaining a quantity of the hoof trimmings is a challenge. My neighbour has two horses and a pony which are...
