They're designed to be focused and zoom set up in a fixed location - such as a well lit car park, corridor or warehouse for example. Nice - have you compared the CS performance to the 12mm thread lens yet me ole bewdy? If anyone else is thinking of using CS lens I should be able to machine down my E700/C mount adaptors to snug into floplast fittings: Which has to be better than losing some of the inner diameter of the S mount/CS ...

I've tried umpteen various 'MP' lenses and found some of them have worse performance/clarity/light than those supplied with the E700 and some no better. I can't say I found any were better but buzzwords sell and they do SOUND like they might be better. Inexperienced NV users will possibly feel bette...
