Re: Jirka

Might be worth trying to email him. The "Send email to Jirka" link on his profile doesn't work; but I must have his email somewhere as I've bought a few bits off him. It's disappointing when someone influential disappears from the forum; I still miss Marky's input and miss his YouTube vid...

Jirka

I was hoping to buy another of Jirka's KPC E700 housings, but he's not responded to my pm and I now see that he's not been active since June!

Anyone know of another means to contact him?

Shame he's not been about, his products and contribution to the forum were great.

Re: Flash kill for Ir lamps .

Ant Supplies have flash killers pre-built into shrouds/sunshades... https://www.ant-supplies.uk/scope-sight-optic-accessories/rifle-scope-kill-flashes.html They would definitely reduce visible glare from all directions apart from head-on, but given that we point the IR directly at the quarry, I don'...

Re: Helion neck strap?

Also, I use these for securing lanyards/neck straps to anything with a photographic/tripod mounting point... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Neewer-1-4-Screw-for-Tripod-Monopod-Quick-Release-QR-Plate-Camera/191495852726?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 I know its not very hel...

Re: Helion neck strap?

The older XD series has a tripod thread on either side of the body, seems daft to have done away with one, particularly when they sell the neck strap that requires two! :wtf:

Re: gun bag/case for rifle & NV

AIM FT-100, plenty deep/wide enough for mounted NV scope, modular rifle securing straps, loads of storage and comfy rucksack style harnes... worth every penny

Re: Mini alternative to KT&C E700 (for some projects)

Nice review, thankyou [emoji106] I have a eachine Recorder for my addon rig. Cheap and works well. Is the lens a standard item that can be used on all e700 type cameras. Can you recommend where to get one? Looking at 12mm. Cheers Hi, Many thanks. Yes, the lens is a standard M12 (ir pass) lens; unti...

Mini alternative to KT&C E700 (for some projects)

Just recently I’ve been trying out several miniature cams on my drones for FPV flying; whilst testing them, I always run them on a basic test rig to see how they fare under IR light and compare against the fabled KT&C E700. Most are nothing to write home about, but I tried a little cam last nigh...
