Re: Choose the right IR for the job.
In my power testing a sunnranger focused as tight as it will go, will give about the same power density as a quite considerably wider beamed 50mm aspheric, again focussed as tight as it will go. The amount of IR hitting the target is pretty much identical, but the aspheric has a wider beam to work ...

Re: Night spotter based on WATEC 120n+
This is really the funny part, trying to reach « passive nv third gen » performances while using second hand/« craps »/derivated products/vintage coming from various sources for creating a functional system... This is true diy spirit. My experience with sens up cameras is that is only good for stat...

Re: New display
Is it possible that you actually manufacture them in UK? I mean could you import mentioned Ferroelectric Micro LCD 1280x720 directly from manufacturer( http://cfd.citizen.co.jp/english/prod-tech/product/micro_display.html ) and then use your own board and optics in your designed 3D housing? Maybe it...

Re: Atn illuminator.
Really incredible why they did not installed reverse polarity protection with their lights... What have they been thinking... Some of us are not that smart to know where is + or - side of battery... Hmm... Just joking of course. I see how confusion may happen because some IR illuminators(laser...
