I get your point but what happens if yours needs repaired? Is the warranty still going to be upheld? (The warranty was always an issue with them anyway) There are no doubt replacements being worked on or tested now. Like you say though, the new Photon is ok but was functionally designed by a moron! ...

Rumour has it that Flir will send any back to the US for repair. I'm not so sure and it would take ages and cost someone a lot of money in shipping alone. There's good money in selling these right now so I'd be tempted to sell mine (IF I HAD ONE) and then wait for the new options coming through from...

Well cost is a huge factor here as Ward is around £800 and the cheapest Archer is around £1400 but nearer £2000 for a better one
