Re: Lenses for spotter- yes again!

.................
Floplast housing is the way to go though because this makes a very small size spotter possible.
Mind you, I use Cinemizer Oled videoglasses, so no need for a screen.
There are pictures in a previous post of mine. I will look them up and post the link.

Re: Lenses for spotter- yes again!

For those who don't want a thermal or can't afford one, the e700/Yukon/T20 S spotter is the best way to go. It is so good that I changed the AS led for a less powerful S led because the AS was much too powerful and a complete overkill. I hardly ever use the high mode on the S pill.

Re: Lenses for spotter- yes again!

I support Poppy Mae, Yukon 3x42 lens is the best way to go in combination with an e700 camera.
Even better is his way of fitting the Yukon lens to a floplast camera housing. I built quite a few of these and have only very satisfied users.

Re: Could I run my 12v E700 camera off these batteries?

I know that 18650 batteries last longer than 9 volt blocks but a set of two is also much bulkier.
Of all the ways that I tried to power an e700 add on, block batteries offer me the best solution when capacity is subject to size.

Re: Blacksun ruby ranger issue

"I will say our LEDs are much cleaner than those I have seen from Chinese factories, either due to them using lower spec in the LED itself or incorrect reflowing practices."

There has to be some reason for the price difference between your illuminators and the Chinese counterparts! :D

Re: Blacksun ruby ranger issue

I have these too and I do not think it is the Yukon lens that causes this but tiny imperfections that are present in the dome lens that is in front of the IR emitter. It is the quality of the Yukon lens that makes these visible. You can also see them with illuminator switched off, lens focussed when...

Re: Could I run my 12v E700 camera off these batteries?

I use 9 v. block batteries from Aldi and they work fine for powering my e700 add on and my e700 spotter.
