Daytime running lights can't be disabled. They're fitted as part of the vehicle regulations after a certain year of design and type approval. I can't recall which year.

I have an LED Lenser with a dimmer switch on the battery box. No red light though, the Petzl seems to be a good option at the price.

I've seen a lot of this non-easter egg stuff going round facebook lately. I'm not one to believe everything without seeing it with my own 2 eyes, so while I was out shopping today I checked for myself...pretty much every one I looked at had 'easter egg' written on the packaging, with the other coup...

Though I do feel sorry for the staff at Maplin, I can't help but feel it was a long time coming. I bought some amber LEDs from them a while back, two of them failed necessitating the strip down of the lens twice to replace them, after which I found I'd been supplied with completely the wrong values ...

If you're using a Yukon Photon, fully adjustable mounts like the Sportsmatch ATP66 are pretty essential to get a good zero. The Photon isn't exactly centred correctly or consistent in manufacture.

As above, or spend a good wad of beer vouchers on Sportsmatch ATP66 fully adjustable mounts. Either way, it's worth it for the price of the Yukon.
