I think the the doubler is the only option and did try one on mine, it certainly improved it a lot but as you say it is a fair old lump so I sold it on. Awesome footage, I take my thermal everywhere with me now as its amazing what we miss at night. Though a week ago whilst out around the golf courses I thought I came across a human body, legged it up to the heat source with phone ready in hand to dial 999 to find out it was ash from a previous fire...

Hi Clive. When you tried it on the S&B 3-9x50 was the scope still on its fixed focus of 100yds please ? I am trying to work out if it might be worth trying on my old Swaro PVi-2 4-16x50 AO which will only focus down to 50yds. I know it already works with my Ward 700 (and the lens coatings accept IR...

As Bruce says playing with the brightness and contrast can make quite a difference, enjoy.
