Never tried either of them - and never heard of anyone else using them. Given you are considering a £700 ish scope you might like to consider upping your budget for the following. Sightron S-TAC 8-32x56 are reputed to be great glass for daylight and are also great with the Wardy. 8-32x56 S-Tac ????...

Never tried either of them - and never heard of anyone else using them. Given you are considering a £700 ish scope you might like to consider upping your budget for the following. I Got one of Clive`s new BS T20s that he supplied with the machined bezel ready for my 3x42 ranger lens. On a good visibility night I can see to circa 400yds, and that is with a Mamba, so should be even better with a 56 S-Tac. What more do you want/need ????????

Yes I will have to cobble something up to support it the full length of the clamp, when you carry your rifle over your shoulder on a sling it is so easy for the ward to get knocked and when you shoulder the rifle the ward it is not centred with the scope .
