Re: Thermal Scope Target

I made a box, a candle was put inside the box behind a metal plate, the plate warned up so you could see the heat as it touched the front target of the box from behind just in one place. everytime you shoot, you would see a big heat signature of your bullet hole, i have a video and pictures somewhe...

Re: Thermal Scope Target

Heat a washer up with a blow torch and hang in on a nail on your target board? Not practical, too much time wasted walking back and fourth re heating up the washer as it cools quick and the glow can be too big of an aim point to aim at. My method gives a crisp aimpoint that glows for at least 40 mi...

I just stick a bit of tin foil in the center of the target, job done.
Tried that but found it was useless out at 250m and on a sunny day target had to be facing a certain way which did not always provide a good backstop.

Thermal Scope Target

Just thought Id share my my thermal target for zeroing as I know its not the easiest of things to do with thermal. I have tried many methods but this is what works best for me day or night giving a crisp heat image. Its built from some batten scraps and the cheapest bits from toolstation and screwfi...

Re: Short Thermal Clip - Barn Owl Hunting

Awesome footage, I take my thermal everywhere with me now as its amazing what we miss at night. Though a week ago whilst out around the golf courses I thought I came across a human body, legged it up to the heat source with phone ready in hand to dial 999 to find out it was ash from a previous fire...

Re: repeatablle mounting xq50

If your using the supplied mount get the pulsar 1nm torque wrench (about £15) to tighten the bolts also ensure you mount it in the same place each time pushing the scope lightly in the forward direction when tightening and you will have RTZ each time. I had a good test with mine on 3 rifles last wee...

Re: Pill Life

I don't know which pill I have - it is not marked. It is a two battery set up. Does this help? badsworth Sorry to put a downer on things but the 2 battery torches are about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike for NV hunting. What sort of NV setup are you using, giving as much detail as possible ...

Call vosa in, show them the fail sheet and tell them the tester offered £150 as it was scrap effectively. They'll be very interested.
Yes do what he says. That will give them a good kick in the nuts.

Re: Pill Life

The spring or centre piece on the back of the pill (driver) is normally positive. What pill do you have and are you using a 1 or 2 battery torch?
