Re: re-barrel

Yup, my last barrel cost a grand. A Basic barrel job will cost £5-600 plus the cost of the barrel blank plus extra for threaded end cap, fluting and finishing. I like a bead/vapour blasted finish as it stays looking new with all but major abuse. Bergera barrel blanks are ok and will save some cash c...

Pill Life

Have a care for which pil you get as some need to run with a SINGLE battery. 2 in series doubles the voltage.
Also 18650 batteries can be bought with or without pcb which can prevent over charge/discharge and potentially extend the life of the battery.

Re: Ludicrous lumens adjustment

Get in touch with ludicrous lumens. The guy that runs it is a real gent and will help if he can, even if you got it second hand. I have one of his add-ons. It is awesome with the ruby pil. It works to beyond distances that I'm happy shooting with .243 but lens coatings and too much magnification in ...

Re: Toggle switched driver instead of press button

Interesting, I was about to ask the same question.
A simple 3 or 4 position slider switch off/low/medium/high that can be felt in the dark would make life easier than the existing press and hope button.
I guess a slider would involve additional cost of wiring and soldering.

Re: 22 win mag

Hi all I have a slot for a 22 win mag on my ticket, anyone recommend a good rifle or ones to stay away from?!?! If your foxing, I would suggest semi auto for rapid follow up. Rabbit and range, go with a longer barrelled bolt gun. .......Everyone said don't buy a Remington 597, especially in WMR! So...

Re: Deer shooting advice

2 minor points. If the person shooting has an open ticket they can shoot anywhere they see fit. ie. Land does not need to be passed by police but you do need landowners permission, preferably in writing. Check twist rate for 140gr. It's at the heavy end for 6.5. Will need 1:8 to stabilise for accept...

Re: How much IR can foxes see ?

I don't think you will gain much over the t20 if you use the 67 set wide. I may be wrong but the tighter beam is what the larger lenses are for, they don't produce more light, just focus it better.

Re: Diffrent scopes - different views through add on rigs

That looks familiar [emoji2] I also shoot my local tip. 3 of us shot over a thousand rats in a night a few weeks ago. Just can't load mags fast enough! The noise they make is, as you say, quite incredible.... And the stench..... I don't have words to describe that godawful smell ...... But I really,...

Re: How much IR can foxes see ?

Interesting thread. I have found the use of a t67 with 850 pil set to a tight beam does spook the foxes around here. I find that, rather than turn the power down, if I widen the beam it doesn't bother them so much. I did a little test last weekend. I walked to about 150yds from my buddy and got him ...
