Re: C mount adaptor for photon xt (it's here now)

Well gentlemen, I have totally abandoned this entire lens idea. I have spend upwards of $200usd on lenses alone not to mention the adapters. This last lens I bought was a nice 55mm unit and I don't see any camera lens being any tighter than that thing is and it flat out will not hold zero. I held a ...

Re: C mount adaptor for photon xt (it's here now)

As someone suggested...I called a camera service company near by and talked to them about repacking both my lenses and making everything as tight as they can make it. Sounds like they may be a possibility. We will see. Thanks to whoever suggested that.

Re: C mount adaptor for photon xt (it's here now)

Yeah I'm not expert either. But I did remember that I have a niece who has a degree in this department and she has enlightened me on this subject and you are correct. As I said I did invest in a very good quality A++ 55mm prime lens which did come in today and I tested it tonight so here is what I f...

Re: C mount adaptor for photon xt (it's here now)

No sir. I assure you that its not a zoom and thanks for responding. It just has some slop in the focus ring. I was wondering what the heck was up because I would get it sighted in and then check it again and it was off but i was thinking its the scope. I wanna take this 105mm lens and shoot it with ...

Re: C mount adaptor for photon xt (it's here now)

Good info there. Thanks. I have yet another issue that I need your experience on. I just went out to scan the field - set my rifle on top of my shooting platform and to my amazement I see the image dance all over the place as the crosshairs stay locked on one spot while I refocus from day shooting t...

Re: C mount adaptor for photon xt (it's here now)

I just registered and posted on this thread but I don't see it so I will try again. I learned a lot on this thread thanks to you guys and need some help. I ordered and received 2 adapters from Griturn. They could not have been better to deal with and the adapters are perfect in every way. I put a 10...

Re: C mount adaptor for photon xt (it's here now)

Guys, I need your help. This thread has taught me a whole lot. I have the photon xt 4.6 and this threat showed me how to make the conversion to the 105mm takumar lense. I bought two of the adapters and they worked perfect. Putting the lens on it took a while to figure out how to even get a view. Tur...
