Re: Ooh, new shooting truck

It came out spot on Rod! How the heck you came up with it being so precise from my mumbled uncreative brief is beyond me   The more I use it the more pleased I am. I've modified it now so your not having all the credit anyway  ...... I place a metal bar across the front ...

Re: Ooh, new shooting truck

Been meaning to take a pic and post this for ages but just to recap if anyone missed the thread I had asked Rod to make me a window awning type thing to stop the rain blowing in the truck window when I'm parked up to stop the thermal spotter and wires etc getting soaked. Some nights if I know where ...

Re: thermal or digi

as above....thermal every time  have been using the shoots HD38s for the last 3 years and bought a 30v about a month or so ago. the 30v will easily pick up a fox or badger at 300 yrds and wont give away your position unlike the IR from a NV spotter ;) cheers jock Is it similar to the HD38s...

Re: thermal or digi

Just watched a vid on that 30 looks like it performs similarly to the older hd38 and very useable. My earlier reply was going on my findings when looking though the 75mm and then going down to the 50mm which is a fair step in lens size but I wouldn't want less detection than the 50mm. I guess the xq...

Re: thermal or digi

Xq30 would be better as the bigger the lens the greater the spotting distance. I've never tried one but have got a guide thermal. That's got a 50mm lens but the older larger sensor. Still, out the other night spotted two foxes a long way out so ranged it the following day. It was over 750metres 761 ...

Ooooops, I haven't been signed in so it hasn't shown up and for some reason stopped getting email notifications in the 1900's. My phone keeps signing me out so I never bother to sign in unless I need to reply to anything. I've been keeping an eye on the threads but didn't think to sign in and check ...

Re: Pulsar trail

What do you call proper long range Clive? I shot three last night 237-256yrds with the xd75. Would there be any benefit to a trail with a 17core and 50 lens? And how much better would your scope be past 250? I really like pulsars pip mode but having never looked though any other rifle scopes I real...

Re: Pulsar Quantum Lites

A lot of Pulsar kit out there, all adds up. Issues add up too. Their warranty is good and needs to be. They have annoyed thesmi now :( :shh: Yep not good enough, wouldn't wish that position on anybody. Pulsar seem to rush new kit out as it just keeps evolving. If they brought out a 75mm trail with ...
