Re: Drone Mk1 wandering poi

Dave, Kev, Thanks for the replies......yeah, I take your points.....the Mk1 rail doesn't have the option of a second position rear mount and I've only ever used a SunRanger or a NM800 mounted as far back as possible on the fixed side rail using either a bodged Optilock or more recently, one of the r...

Re: Drone Mk1 wandering poi

Just had the lens assembly off.... those 3 grub screws just lock the assembly in place and were possibly used to fine tune collimation to the camera. They don't go into the threads but into solid alloy and I could see where they had indented in this... and a second, smaller dimple probably from wher...

Re: Drone Mk1 wandering poi

A mate of mine had endless grief with a mk2 drone moving poi. He sent it back and having been stripped and checked was assured there was nothing wrong with it. It continued to move poi to the point he was sick of it and was going to bin it. I started having a play about with it and found it was a p...

Re: Okay...so what are Flir up to with the Drone Pro?

I'm from FLIR UK and just posting here to confirm that the Drone Pro has been end-of-life since 1st Feb 2018. The IWA listing and the websites at FLIR need updating to remove the references. Sorry for any confusion caused. Thanks for posting that Jason..... thought the US might have seen the error ...

Okay...so what are Flir up to with the Drone Pro?

Just been searching on the off-chance for an exploded parts diagram for the Drone and came across this...apparently they were at the recent IWA announcing the Drone Pro......what gives? https://www.iwa.info/en/ausstellerprodukte/iwa18/product-9935300/digital-night-vision-upcoming-products  Fi...

Drone Mk1 wandering poi

My Mk1 Drone has developed a wandering poi :( so I was wondering if anyone had taken theirs apart to discover the root of the problem and fix it? The whole lens assembly had worked itself loose behind the focus ring where it meets the body, there are 3 grub screws in the body under the bit where the...

Re: Thermal scope focus/poi

Slow down Bradley....your post reads as if you misread blueroll’s post? ‘mag up’ ...refers to the ‘scope magnification and not the capacity of the magazine. “Centre mass” is instinctively where the vast majority of shooters aim for a quick, humane kill...... the heart, lung area. Depending on the qu...

Re: Thermal scope focus/poi

I’m much the same as Bruce with my 75-3.... I’ve never had any poi shift and the scope is put on and taken off again with every outing. The cross-bars on the mount are a snug fit on my picatinny rails and occasionally they’re only done up finger tight as I’ve forgotten to use the Pulsar 1nm torque w...
