Re: New display

Thank you Lightmesser for your extensive reaction. I am pleased to hear about your findings. I also went your way. I am not going to comment on benefits and disadvantages because they are both evidently there. To me this system is the best compromise possible presently because: * I don’t want to spe...

Re: New display

Cinemizer OLED glasses are awesome; FPV pilots fly their drones with these on their heads! They retail for GBP 600 in the UK right now and that is much more than most of us are willing to pay, I agree. There is another source though and that is the various internet market places. Second hand OLED st...

Re: New display

I have been following this search for a workable near eye display with sufficient eye-relief with a smile on my face. You are looking for something that has been around for quite a few years and meets all your requirements. Rolaid was the first of us who went this road and documented it years ago. I...

Re: 1/1.8" CMOS camera RunCam Night Eagle (Black & White Video Only, No Color)

Did anyone try if the Night Eagle 2 fits snug into a floplast housing?
If it does not fit, would the NE2 board fit into an e700 housing? Is there a member who could try that?
In that way we could keep on using floplast based housings for Night Eagle 2 builds.

Re: IR torches that are silent to turn on

The switch on these torches cannot be modified to be silent. I use a modified, silent rat tail switch. Another way to switch on and off without noise is: unscrew the tailcap just as much as needed to switch off. You can then operate the torch by screwing on without any noise.

How to 'repair' a 4715AS pill

(Some of the) Chinese 4715 AS pills cannot stand the heat when power is accidentally left on after use. I had a few. The British made are defenitely better in this way, probably because of better quality drivers or more heat paste applied. I thought that probably the driver was fried and that the LE...

Re: T20 doubler

T20 4715AS pills don't work well with/benefit from installing a doubler or changing them into a Sunranger, I tried both and was disappointed with the results, compared to 4715S pills .

Re: Please help... how do the modes works on ir torches?

The pill doesn't know that you half pressed it, it just detects the next connection in a sequence of three. low med high, low med hich and so on. You can most likely operate the three modes through pressing the inline switch you are going to install.

Re: Please help... how do the modes works on ir torches?

There is defenitley nothing in the switch. I took one apart to repair a broken cable. The switch is just wat it is, nothing more. The three modes are regulated through the driver but I have no idea how.
