Re: Repair Pulsar Quantum XQ19 for a friend..

Sorry, you're out of luck.
Pulsar have never made any service manuals available and have never sold spare parts.
Other than replacing the shutter servo, I'm unaware of any other DIY repairs that have ever been carried out on these units.

Re: New to site. Having a nv008 issue

OK, let me make sure I understand you 1. The PARD works OK when warm - and that includes having the gyroscope function switched on 2. In cold weather the all the buttons stop working So, if you switch the gyroscope function off in the main menu and then take it out in cold weather do the buttons wor...

Re: New to site. Having a nv008 issue

Have you tried it when it has warmed up a bit?
If it works then, just switch the gyro function of in the main menu and that should prevent it freezing up again.
As Sunndog says check which version of the firmware you're running and find out if there is a newer version available.

Re: Pulsar Apex XQ38 LRF vs ATN Mars HD 640 1-10x 19mm

Pulsar every time Apart from ATNs terrible reputation for reliability and service, a 640 sensor with a 19mm lens is a pretty dumb combination As for image detail, simply divide the pixel size (17 microns in each case ) by the focal length of the lens (38 for the Pulsar, 19 for the ATN) The smaller t...

Re: Nv200

It's because the NS200 is much less sensitive to 940nm IR than it is to 850nm IR
940nm will also appear much less visible to your eye than 850nm for the same reason.

Re: Hello, and please help [emoji28][emoji1308]

That's the same as mine so just use a thin bladed tool in the gap between the 2 lenses and work the plastic cover loose.
Then follow the instructions on my earlier post.

Show us a pic looking into the front of the rangefinder module. This is what mine looked like before removing the plastic cover and then, with the cover removed, showing the screws that have to be adjusted to move the laser splash https://i.postimg.cc/KRqRVpn8/LRF1.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/MMSTRC8d/...

Re: Hello, and please help [emoji28][emoji1308]

They may have changed it, but on mine it was just a thin shiny plastic cover that could easily be prised of with a thin bladed tool.
If you have attached an image, it's not's visible.

Re: Hello, and please help [emoji28][emoji1308]

The flash can be moved. If you want to try, this is what you do: 1. Prise off the black plastic cover at the front of the rangefinder unit 2. There are 6 small cross head screws which control where the laser splash appears on the screen. The screwheads will probably be covered in black silicone gunk...
