I actually run a charity, that benefits the "poor".

Before Johnny Cash died? he was a member, too... we still use his name on the charity fundraising...

...so, just send me all the checks made out to "CASH" (I told you, his name is still on the fundraising)

... and i can GUARANTEE you, that unlike some OTHER charities?? your checks will go 100 percent directly towards benefitting the poor.

(we also accept night vision equipment, to best help out disadvantaged hunters here in the states? all night vision donations must be new-in-box to be accepted)

*snicker*
Well, I understand that, boys... but see, my CAT gets the silly idea you're making fun of HIM... then he gets, *really* mean...

Mrs gypo is a Marie curie nurse so it's the cancer charity for me.
I'm not sure how you would run it but on a couple of other forums I am a member of, kayaking and also an airgun forum they sell raffle tickets at £5 each and Sony draw it until all are sold.
Thanks

Only a suggestion so please don't shoot the messenger :)
As we can't expect the sponsors to supply everything and I'm sure a lot of us have spare bits in our project bind so to speak, so what if people offer various bits towards a build and someone builds it, it then goes up for auction?

Basically, we were hoping to get several bits and pieces together, either auction or sell them, and then donate the money to the chosen charity. I'm afraid that this never got off the ground to any extent.

It all started out when Rod, rodp, sent me quite a few pairs of safety glasses suitable for shooting (thanks Rod, they're still here). Had we thought of this sooner, we could have incorporated it into the free gifts we were giving away earlier this year (or was it last year?).

It will still happen, though we're not sure when, in one way, shape or form.

Cheers.

cancer charity would get my vote , but i prefer British legion rather than help for heroes, i know that help for heroes was desperately needed at the time it was set up as the government were just leaving soldiers on the scrap heap with limbs missing and all kinds of issues but the legion helps all service men and woman even after they have finished there service . But i will give my support to what ever charities are chosen .
