Nightforce Optics

Post by blueroll » 29 Aug 2016, 07:47

I have been given an older model Nightforce Varmint scope (3.5-15x56) to try with my Ward 700 and found that it works better than my old faithful MTC Mamba. Much better glass for day use and brighter/crisper image with the Ward/Xsearcher. Down side is that it is AO parrallex (min 25yds).
So I was wandering if anybody has tried the Nightforce SHV scopes that focus down to 25yds ?

I put a 800l on a Nightforce 3.5-15x56 and I must say was very impressed. From 3.5 to 8 mag it was excellent and started to deteriorate after that. Out to about 250 yards very good and then not so but that was with a T20 with the new x 2 pil so with a better light source I would expect better. The parallax adjustment (side focus) had very little influence on the image no matter what distance.
