Hi George.
Scopes that work well as a n/v add on.
It tends to go like this, if a scope works well with one n/v system, it will work well with them all.
I have a gen1 , a pvs14, and a e700 home made, they all work well with MTC mamba-lite's, viper, ags, falcon merlin, jsr 3-9x40 pa, ect ect, my preference being the mamba-lites for ranges over 8 yds (sub 8 yd scope is the jsr one used for ratting)
As for a top-ish end scope im told by others that the Sightron S-Tac is about the best n/v performer there is.

I struggled as well just to like it after spending so much on it I think that got in the way a bit ,I have spent some time with it now and slowed down and had a play with diffrent ir lamps levels and getting the best out of it .
I use it on the front end of a Meopta 6-24x56 ZD and it is now a very clear chrip picture and the main thing is I like it and can shot with it.
I think sometimes when you spend a lot on a piece of kit you want it to work straight away straight out of the box

Mines coming tomorrow, so I hope I like mine as well, have bought a Viper 4-16x 50IRS on the 17hmr, and a hawke5-15x50 on the AA510 extra fac 22, Have a Drone pro on the SGC 223 for dedicated foxing, needed something for serious rabbit control, and a standby if the Drone ever fails. deerwarden
