Tasco Target/Varmit Series No-good for add-on

Post by Frogman Ladue » 08 Dec 2015, 02:15

The Tasco Target/Varmint series runs 1/8 MOA cross hairs. 16mm cam lenses have a hard time focusing on the cross hairs. 12mm will not focus on the cross hairs. The cross hairs are too thin for what we need in a add on project scope...you'll never see the cross hairs at night.

I prefer to use 25mm board lenses. They are a higher mag so you can use less scope mag - and the crosshair is also made larger.

I just stepped down from a 16mm to the 12mm. It was a high mag scope, and I needed the extra wiggle room. I was making too many field adjustments with the 16mm lens...I'm sure the 25 would be worse.
