rather anoying that.

are there diferent types, as in longer or shorter focal types with longer/shorter screw mounts?
Your solution would be M12 to CS adapter and CS lenses(which are probably better than M12 anyway).

I am ordering directly from runcam. I am ordering without case.
Sensors same its SC1020
ISP same Fullhan 8523
But in new one they add STM microchip.
In old one sensor is in separate board but its not a problem.
I will try make images from both cameras.
The main that i see that some filters or configs changed, because there is no grainy pictures.

Which one is never from this 2 ?

It sounds like the Night Eagle 2 is worse, but is similar to the Foxeer Night Wolf V2. On my NW, there is no image until enough IR light added for the camera to focus the light with no grainy image. I did not find a way to change the gain or other settings to allow camera to display low light grainy images.

I test both cameras
Night eagle 1 was on default settings only make brightness 248
When use it in total darkness i see grainy picture and its OK its mean that gain in maximum and i got all what sensor can show.

Night eagle 2 was on default too and brightness 248. Gain was set to 9 and nightshutter to 1.
In this settings i must get same picture as in first version of camera and may be better because night shutter in 1 must give summ of 2 screens and give me 2 times more light in picture.
But in result i see nothing in same ammount of light. And picture is not grainy. Its mean that or gain is not in maximum or some noise filters used. And in fact i am getting no image at all.

Here is video of night eagle 1 https://youtu.be/2LUsoGKKrSA
and night eagle 2 https://youtu.be/BEeTiFZ2JDE

As i understand sensor is the same in both cameras its SC1020
and SPI is the same too its Fullhan 8523.
This mean that difference can be only in configuration.
How to fix this i think technician must know.

Is it because you are using unusual M12 lenses or because the Eagle case has shorter thread then KT&C E700?

Guys comparison of night eagle, eagle and owl on video below but watch from 2:03 till the end of video...

BTW I think that Owl still has ir filter fitted lenses(stock lenses) on his video... Night performance of Owl model if I compare to my rl experience are same or better than night eagle by judging his video here:

This is what I wrote on another thread:
I've also been experimenting with a Night Eagle (1 not 2). I agree that it is can produce an image with a fair bit less light than the E700. But it seems to do so by combining the output of several sensor pixels, so the low light image is distinctly low resolution, with a 'grid' appearance.

At light levels where the e700 works OK, the NIGHT EAGLE works similarly well. Its small, light form factor makes it suitable for some projects, like Hutty33's recent (impressive) build.
NB, the sensor 'pixels' are 2.8 times bigger in size (area) compared to an e700. = potentially 2.8 x light gathering power.
