What is a lens removal tool?
Just stick "Lens repair tools" into Ebay and take your pick.
The tool driving this vehicle is removed at night. Sometimes.

Cheers guys,

Hutty, how are you finding this scope, is it worth doing?
I know you mentioned fogging of the lenses. is it a big issue?

I haven't really been out with it recently, and I have dismantled some of it at the moment to check and try some things. On the occasions I've used it, it has worked well...though I haven't fully tested on rimfire yet (and therefore not at ranges over 40-45 yards), but I don't think there'll be an issue.
The fogging - I actually edited the post where I mentioned fogging a little while back...stupidly when it occurred I didn't check to see if it was internal or external fogging, I just assumed internal. The small number of times that I've used it since then have not had any issues with fogging, and testing at home (fridge - warm kitchen - fridge again - and so on) I haven't had an issue yet. I will very likely still purge it just in case.
To answer is it worth doing would be partly down to what you want out of it. It currently gives a better image at night than it does during the day (this is one of the reasons I've took it apart again to try things) but it can still be used in daylight. And I am having second thoughts about the reed switch purely because I haven't used them before and don't know whether it can be fully trusted, I may just fit a switch.

I have a pair of those .......stabbed myself a few times but they are good, get the angle out slightly ones as they get in the corners better !

Yep, I've stabbed my fingers, scratched lenses, snapped of bits of the rings...they're not the greatest. The angled ones are definitely better though. You can also get (or make) a different type that is like a 'C' with a handle, and a little pin at the ends of the C, used kind of like a spanner.
