Raspberry pi ATN X Sight clone

i started working on this a year or so ago. Kinda lost focus on it for a few months until I found this forum. All of your fantastic builds have inspired me to finish it.

So far it is a raspberry pi 3, pi camera that I found on eBay that has an ir cut circuit built in, GPS module, and a 9dof mmu to track the position of the rifle and count shots fired. I want to add a barometer, light sensor for the ir cut to function automatically, wind speed sensors and have the software do ballistic calculations (that may be beyond my meager programming skills). Setting at about 45 frames per second now, unfortunately every time I add a capability I lose frame rate. I would also like to try it on a pi zero but I am afraid the frame rate will nose dive.

5 years or so ago, I built a scopeless with the camera and video transmitter in the fore grip of an FN FS2000. It transmitted the signal up to a head mounted monocular display. If I can figure out how to post pics on here I will post about it.

when asking for advice, please include what n.v device and/or illumination you already have (if any) and what rifles you intend to use them on...cheers

Sorry, just noticed that I had the 50mm lens on it, to big for inside.

It seems that you know what are you doing

However the more simple they are the sooner you'll use them...

Agreed, I am going to rebuild the scopeless on my fs2000 using better components. The pi stuff will not fit in the fore grip. My biggest problem with it is the reticle. I have already ordered the reticle generator from one of the forum members off eBay.

This may be of use to you. I have used it on another project for using different cameras than the ones available.

https://lintestsystems.com

It allows you to still use an e700 if you would like.
