Could I run my 12v E700 camera off these batteries?

Post by CroCop » 27 Apr 2018, 10:14

Hi.

I am using a V2-FC viewfinder with my DIY setup, and that uses 3 x AAA batteries. Because of this I don't need a big battery, just one to power the camera.

Would these 12v batteries work OK with the E700?

Thanks for any advice :)

First time I've seen them but can't see any reason they won't do the job.

Not many people realise the SURE24 E700 will run from about 7 volts so you could use one of this type too:

Those batteries have a capacity of about 55mAh, so would run an add-on for maybe 15-20 minutes, if they can even handle the current draw. They are meant for things like car remotes, and low drain devices.

I use 9 v. block batteries from Aldi and they work fine for powering my e700 add on and my e700 spotter.
