Yes lovely job, I can see it now !

Nice build, did you get any problems with zero shift when using your lens as some do and some don’t ?

Kind regards

No im still waiting for my cameras to come in(EJ230 and Foxeer Night Wolf). When I get all the cameras I will do a 100 yard controlled test between all of them.

The BSP6300 is probably going to end up as a spotter, it is going to be wireless to a smart phone (thats how i took the pictures the app only supports 640x480 though) Since it has a motorized IR filter I will use it for day time wireless long range shooting (1000 yards or more). That way I can spot my shots, just set it up on a tripod close to the target. Of course use it for night time spotting for critters also!

I will mount a potted EJ230 in the tube thats seen in the last pictures I posted. I dont like how the EJ230 needs the M12 adapter. The adapter I have seems cheesy. Im not to confident that the M12 adapter would hold up to heavy lenses and recoil. With the tube setup the EJ230 will secured and centered in the tube with jam nuts. A C-mount lens will screw directly to the tubing. There is also a back cap so everything will be somewhat water resistant.

As far as the Foxeer goes I have a few parts ordered, not sure about the build yet. I have a few ideas, I would like to turn it into a scope but depends on how secure I can get the lens mounted.

*EJ230 and BSP6300 are the same
*Some of my focal lengths are off
*Foxeer camera was adjusted heavily to prevent washout, all other were stock.
*1/2" Exview was "surplus" camera
*all test were at 20 yards with a T50 on high, widest setting.

Next test 100+ yards Ej230/BSP3600 vs Foxeer Night Wolf vs 1/2: Exview

Got the rest of my bushings in, I was able to hone them out to the diamiter of the camera and use a few lockrings to hold the camera in place. Really solid setup!!! Need different scope bases though. Test rifle is a Savage HMR .17

Got my NV-100 in with the Zenit 100mm f/1.5. However my C-M42 mount adapter was two pieces instead of one. It had play  so I super glued the crap out of it. It also doesn't fit the Zenit lens so I will find another adapter that will work thats one piece, I might chuck it up im the lathe for now.....

I also tried out some of my Nikon lenses but there was to much play on the F mount. Should work fine on a spotter!

It is Version 2

Comparing to the EJ230 I may have been a little heavy handed with my adjustments on Night Wolf V2. Also there are a few posts I need to read on how everyone else is adjusting their cameras.

Yep, the FNW2 can be tricky with the settings to get just right, but when it is, its a great contender

So after a lot of research, I cannot find what im looking for......

So for batteries I need 3 18650 in series for around 12 volts. I really would like a flashlight tube with the on/off on the back like a normal flashlight but instead of a flashlight head just having wires to power my camera and accessories......

The problem is the vendor I was buying my IR light from has not yanked all there parts from the website making it impossible to build what im looking for.

Anyone know of a flashlight tube battery pack thingy...lol???? 1 inch or 3omm diameter?
