With technical help from Bruce and Clive, I built a battery ‘torpedo’ a few months ago for my Wardy WT1 75-3 thermal..... only needs just over 5v so 2 18650’s were fine. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a 3 18650 torch!?JoeDirt wrote: ↑27 Jun 2018, 02:12So after a lot of research, I cannot find what im looking for......
So for batteries I need 3 18650 in series for around 12 volts. I really would like a flashlight tube with the on/off on the back like a normal flashlight but instead of a flashlight head just having wires to power my camera and accessories......
The problem is the vendor I was buying my IR light from has not yanked all there parts from the website making it impossible to build what im looking for.
Anyone know of a flashlight tube battery pack thingy...lol???? 1 inch or 3omm diameter?
I bought 2 of these to get the 2 switch caps

That seller also sells the cheaper single battery 501 xenon torches which I’ll buy at some point to convert my spare 2 battery body.
Note they’re the older xenon torch with the spring battery contacts rather than the spring ‘piston’ solid contact....easier to convert. I replace one switch with a step down/step up transformer which fits in the plastic switch holder.

This one is adjustable set at 5.6v, the WT1 runs on 5v but needs a slightly higher voltage on start-up, this shows 3 bars on the indicator. I also fitted another non-eBay, fixed 5.16v output into a spare T20 torch end cap (same thread) ......this shows one bar on the indicator. I bought a few of these fixed 5v boards and used the one with the highest o/p.
Hole punch punched a hole through the rubber button cover and fed a pre-wired 2.1 dc plug through and incorporated an led so I could tell if it was on or not.
