Battery

Postby rover » 11 Oct 2017, 15:48

Hi Hope someone can help. I need a replacement battery for my Night Sight 200. They are wanting £97 for one, is there anyone else sell them at a more realistic price. Or can I use another battery without damaging it.
Thanks
Jim

Hi Magman thanks for your reply I don't think it will have a long time before needing to recharge. think it will need to be a stronger maybe 5 or 6.
thanks

Hi.
The batteries supplied by the link below come recommended, I use them on my nite site NS200 5000mAH will give you a good nights shooting.

Hi Nige65
I've had a look at your recommendation looks more like it thanks. Will my battery charger that came with ns200 brick battery do or would I have to buy a new charger with the new battery?
thanks
Jim

Hi Snoopy
I'm afraid I haven't a clue about battery amps etc. that's why I'm asking I don't want to damage unit or set fire to battery when charging.
thanks

Hi rover.
I would recommend get the correct charger.
Lithium batteries are prone to over heating if charged incorrectly or at too higher charge rate.
The charger with the gel acid battery tend to charge at a fixed rate which may be wrong for the lithium battery.
It would be a shame to damage your new battery.

Hope this helps.

One other point worth mentioning Rover.
The batteries are light enough and small enough to strap to the side of the rubber tube adaptor so no trailing wires.
I used a piece of black 2" wide elastic stitched together.
Maybe not the prettiest thing but very functional and it's dark anyway.
Cheers
