Longbow instruction

Post by rabbitman1 » 10 Jan 2018, 19:38

Hi all, I have a Longbow that a friend has lent me with a view to purchase. I am having a play with it but no matter what I do I can’t get the crosshairs in focus! The picture is there but the crosshairs are fuzzy as hell!
It’s getting there when the diopter is wound right in but it’s like it needs to go in a tad more but won’t.
Any ideas please ASAP as I have to return it soon

Sounds buggered , mine wouldn't focus the crosshair above 7x mag and have spoken to other folk who have the same issue but at different magnification.
The front focus seals can also fail , a wee test is to look through the scope at something 300 yards or so away and try moving the front ring up and down which is in front of the parralax adjustment. I hope that makes sense ?
If it has failed you should see the crosshair moving up and down.

Thanks for the reply, the front ring is tight. The scope is only a month old and the guy has just said it was absolutely fine for him which is always a nightmare when you borrow something!!!
I’ve used plenty of different nv systems in the past so I can’t see what the hell can be the issue

Sorry I can't really help much apart from that .

Why does he want to sell it so soon ?

As far as I am aware the warranty only applies to first purchaser too.

He wants more mag. He’s as straight as a die and a good bloke so he’s definitely not trying it on
