First off, take it out and see.
I have the Xsearcher with Ruby upgrade now and it goes way beyond what I'm going to shoot to. I also use the NM800 head with a BlackSun as I don't need max ir most of the time.

As for lasers I don't want a non eye safe laser anywhere near me thanks.

If I was buying today from scratch I think Clive's Ruby Sunranger would be more than enough. It might not get the absolute furthest distance, but close enough. Talking 400m or 450m in perfect conditions, big deal! Fast too to flood down or tight focus up when required. That would do me.
But I have enough torches for now.

I borrowed a Solaris last night and wasn't that impressed tbh.
Will see what Clives option is like I think.

To be honest performance for the money, Clives BlackSun Ruby fitted to a 50mm, 67mm head and your laughing...

The solaris is a nice compact torch, but not in anyway comparable to a Blacksun fitted to the above..
