Well a good time to bring something new to the table. The ATN xsight 4 pro seems to have problems just like the xsights before it and ATN have released new firmware to try and fix the problems. You think they would have learnt there lesson by now...

Might one ask what problems, considering the 4K pro have not even been released for sale in uk?
Available very soon and is not such firmware updates part of a good companies commitment to customers for continuous improvement I mean look at the updates apple and Microsoft etc release.

Think you need to get one in your hands before one should rubbish the reputation of a company especially when people's jobs depend on such reputations. Just may be they have learnt from thier past only time will tell.

There is a bit of a difference between a firmware update to improve the running of a product and one to fix stuff that should have worked properly from the start. Having got my fingers burnt buying the xsight 11 like a few other members on this forum I'll think I'll pass on the opportunity to have the xsight 4k in my hands and stick with my tried and trusted Photon xt. Hope you enjoyed your trip to ATN UK earlier in the year, your not ATN pro staff by any chance...
Sorry for going off topic and looking forward to seeing Clive's new NV.

No not on ATN pay roll. Just think that such negative observations should have evidence to support them.

As I say the 4k pro is not even on sale in the UK yet, I am told the firmware/software is dedicated to the UK market.

Certainly when I visited ATN they have made a significant investment in the UK some 30 staff in a modern building and came across sincere
in wanting to deliver a product fit for purpose.

ATN will not be the first or last to put a product on the market that should have worked properly from the start just ask a certain bank re software.

We can all judge the 4k pro once we have them, certainly Clive's offering will be the benchmark to measure them against.

cheers
John.

ATN should be judged by their previous efforts until proven otherwise IMO..........
