Ward 800 or drone

Post by tolley » 18 Sep 2018, 11:23

Anyone here use the ward D vision 700 or similar, that might be some where near me ,Gloucester.
I have drone 5x with double on at the moment and absolutely love it , But I really want a add on that I can swap over to different rifles .
But just wonder if I'm going to regret it with out looking through one first . Any or done the same ,gone from fixed to add-on.?
And also will need to sell my drone .

Ive had the mk1 drone Pro like yours, i now have the mk2 10x, i also have the Wardy 700.
No add on is going to give you the picture quality or the range of the DP's.
The Wardy 700 imo is ok for up to rimfire ranges, sure ive had nights where i could shoot foxes out to 300 yds with it, but ive had a lot of nights where its struggle to get much past 100 yds.

2 weeks ago i was doing some rabbits with the WD 700/t74 blacksun 2, on a plain soil field i was struggling to body shoot them at 100 yds, when i got back to the vehicle i though id get the DP 10x out and see how this perform in this bad back ground field, it went 350 yds all the way across the field to the edge, they are worlds apart performance wise.

What about keeping your DP and get the addonight for rimfire ranges or under ?

I 100% agree with Warbucks on this.
Keep your DronePro (Rule 1 of NV - if you have a Drone Pro, never get rid of it)
Get an addonight or equivalent for your other rifle(s)

Cheers

Drone beats everything hands down.... shouldn’t have sold mine....

Keep drone,,,, if you want on another rifle go for the addonite / Arden adder / NV007 whatever it’s name for the other rifle

From where?
when asking for advice, please include what n.v device and/or illumination you already have (if any) and what rifles you intend to use them on...cheers
