PPU 45gn is the cheapest
Hornady 35gn V max is excellent, but a lot more expensive.
I've had problems with rounds not extracting from my Weihrauch hornet, but a thorough clean of the chamber with a brass bristle brush on the end of an electric drill seems to have sorted the problem

Cheers

Is it only scoring once a round has been chambered or is it from the bolt running over the top of rounds in the magazine?

Cheers

It seems to score the bullet head if it's not gone straight in to the chamber .it's sometimes gets jammed that's when it seems to happen .I've tried various bullets some are worse than others it's a cz 527 American .the gun was new when I bought it

It sounds like it's not feeding properly.

Are you able to try it with a different magazine? Perhaps take it back to the shop and see what they say.

Cheers

My 527 used to feed flawlessly with every type of ammo I fed it. It sounds to me like it needs to go back to the RFD to be checked. It could be (probably is) the magazine not lining the round up with the bolt properly.

Another Hornet user here, getting amazing results using 40gr vmax over 12.7gr lil gun.
