T20 doubler

Postby marcos58 » 11 Aug 2017, 09:30

Morning Gents,
I'm trying to find a torch build thread using a standard t20 and a push on via a vice camera hood and then screwing on a doubler. I'm thinking with the new black sun 2 pil this might turn out to be a nice lightweight gun torch.
Thanks in advance.
Regards.
Marcos.

I've the adapter and lens sat in a draw somewhere that we all used a few years ago but it's not a light weight option probably similar weight to ranger

I am waiting for one of Clive`s new BS22 (T20) with the machined bezel for Sunranger conversion, I will let you know what it is like.

Hi Marcos
IMO dont waste your money on a T20 doubler, if you want to up grade to a Blacksun 2 pill then fare enough.
I like many other years ago fitted a doubler to a T20, yes it does tighten the beam and therefore give more power, but they dont give as much power as the torch with the same size lens ie 50mm ? as there is more glass to go through, and it add's more weight.
IMO just buy the right torch.
