Doooooh put battery in wrong way around!.can this be fixed or is it a candidate for the bin ?.all suggestions welcome.

No it is not candidate for the recycle bin. Just swap the driver and you are ready to go :thumbup:

Really incredible why they did not installed reverse polarity protection with their lights... What have they been thinking... Some of us are not that smart to know where is + or - side of battery... Hmm... :lol: Just joking of course.

I see how confusion may happen because some IR illuminators(laser mostly) use reverse way(battery minus toward head) but flashlight illuminators in 99% of situation demands plus side of battery towards head or poof may happen :)

So if guy that is used to laser stuff gets Dereelight versions of illuminator without reading instructions poof and nice burned smell is next step that is going to happen... :twisted: never sleeps.

It would help if it said in the instruction "WARNING" make sure your battery in the the correct way as this blow the pill ..lol :lolno:
