Its interesting ians running the AS olson at 2100ma and not going pop ! If i get a minute , got a couple of led supply 2.1 drivers / dimmable , might rig an olson up and slowly increase it to full power and see what happens , put a meter accross the led and see what the currents at and if it goes pop ! Pass half an hour away :D :D :D :D

The Black Sun 2 runs at 2100ma poppy. With proper heatsinking it will run without issue.

What we did find with the T20 was that using the standard pill, even the proper 20mm star version, it couldn't dissipate the heat properly so while you could put more power into it, you didn't get the resulting increase in actual output from the LED, just a load of heat.

Heat isn't great in a Sunnranger because the Yukon lens internals are made of plastic and very close to the pill. :shh:

We had to completely redesign the pill and material to get it to work properly and efficiently.

Cheers

Might give it a go , got a couple of led supply 2.1 drivers sitting around , be easy enough to knock a decent heatsink up....
