Bs ruby with a w800l

Post by David.evans » 31 Dec 2017, 01:01

Well
I went out last nite , with .223 with n870 , and the ruby Ir in a 20 with doubler , great result
2x foxes 200 yards and 230
Also 17 hmr with ward 800 , and t20 ir , don't know what pill , and it was that bad , it went back in the truck ! Pissed off
Nothing to do with the unit I will add , just the wrong Ir set up
Will the ruby pill do the business and bring clarity, and range to the ward ?
Any advice please lads

Hi I just wondered what scope you use with the ward?
I'm looking at getting a ward that's why I ask.

I was using a Ruby with a Ward add on, using a hawke sidewinder scope and could mag upto 16x and take a shot if wished at 400+yds easily, that was with a Ruby in a x-searcher head... its the only LED IR I have seen that comes close to a dragonfly for range, obviously with the larger head of the x-searcher.

Used my ward 800 with mtc 4-16 viper and can second whats already been said. Can mag upto 16 and 400 yds is no problem. Thats using a black sun ruby in a sunranger illuminator.
