I personally tested 50mm 1605 torch but IMHO it is heavy as ... To bulky even in 50mm version. Heavier than Xsearcher with 70mm head.

Only one advantage(advantage to some people but not to me) of this torch over classic T50 and that is it has special designed inner tube and dimmer switch which can make those simple drivers we mostly use dimmable. Yes you heard that right, dimmer worked with 3 drivers for me: AK 47, AK A1, and nanjg 105c...

But as I said it is on very heavy side. I really can't understand Uniquefire flashlight engineers. If you guys will read this thread (and you probably will) just work around your bestseller torch T50 and make it lighter by removing unnecessary chunky throat and tailcap section, or how to say put darn thing on diet and make us lighter T50 torch, yes you can add sunshade as an option but it is not that important.

So T50 needs to go on mentioned diet, to make it lighter and more enjoyable to play plus triple thick O ring in throat section, Needs 1-1.5mm longer diameter lens that will perfectly cover that head o ring(which also can bi little thicker BTW), and offer sunshade only as a option. Some of us don't consider sunshade as super cool stuff.

If you want to build ultimate and totally redesigned T50 flashlight (lighter tougher and better performing than anything in 50mm size) maybe you flashlight engineer guys don't know but there are some special, light and cheap 50mm lenses out there that are better performer than any commercial available glass lenses in 50mm size and they are giving over 30% of boost over T50 glass one and 98% of performance consistency without color aberration with visible white led (which of course means clearer IR die projection).

Recipe is very simple... But if you want to keep basic T50 concept that is also ok; just put it on a diet.

1605? No... Just stick to T50 until UF engineers come with even more lighter and better flashlight than T50.
