I've checked I'm getting 5v at the viewfinder and 12v at the camera I've even tried turning the voltage up slightly to see that helps but still no different. Its looking like I'll have to keep the monitor connected and maybe use is it as a duel set up.

Cheers for the reply genisis22,

I've tried connecting all the 0v straight back to the battery and also running a separate 0v from the battery to the 0v connection on view finder.
Could you repost the link to YouTube as its not working please.
Cheers,
Monkford.

You have got me there Jock, I don't know. This is the description: "Foxnovo HD 700TVL 1/3" CMOS 6mm MTV Board Lens Mini CCTV Security Video Color Camera (Black)".

the camera AV signal will be either PAL (european) or NTSC (american)

the camcorder viewfinder is PAL, so if the camera is NTSC it wont work. Most of monitor screens will work with either signal.

saying that, I'm still baffled why you're getting signal to the viewfinder when you have the monitor plugged in :wtf:

cheers jock
