E700 I.R FILTER REMOVAL GUIDE

Postby sunndog » 01 Feb 2014, 19:54

i'v seen few people ask for pics and instructions recently so i thought i'd do a quick how to

don't worry chaps. absolutly no measurable skill needed

first take the back panel off by removing the two screws

Image

then pop the camera out onto your hand and you will see the pink'ish looking square of glass...that is the i.r filter

Image

carefully work a stanley or craft knife into the corners until, without too much pressure, the knife slips underneath the filter...it should then just lift off and take most of the glue with it

Image

there might well be a little of the glue left on the camera, i just lifted that off with the stanley knife

when asking for advice, please include what n.v device and/or illumination you already have (if any) and what rifles you intend to use them on...cheers
