Diabolo Field 22 pellets

Post by lanerboy » 09 Feb 2018, 19:23

Hi All

Looking to buy some Diabolo Field 22 pellets for a hw100 I have just bought to use at around 25yds where my 22lr is not suitable, the question I have is do I buy these pellets in 5.51 or 5.52 as I am not sure what the difference is as new to airguns

Cheers LB

Thats going to be a suck them and see trial unless its a used rifle and the previous owner advised you I'm afraid. Some shops will sell a small batch of each size if asked.

Could only get these in 5.52 today so tried them and very happy got consistent groups of 5p size at 25 meters once zero was set correctly looking forward to trying them in the field when the rain eventually stops

I use a lot of these in my 97k and have never been offered a choice of head size in any of the shops I use.
I've always found them to be very consistent and don't bother to much about damaged skirts, they have to be well mangled for me not to use them, if they pass the finger roll test between tin and loading they are good to go.
I was messing around at 50 yard targets the other week and they where still grouping about 1" and better.
