I was pleasantly surprised, I see no reason they’d not be working on a 640model as well.
Many companies bin their sensors by sensitivity (typically 60mK), so using poorer ones would probably be cheaper.
Interesting times

.... Something, better, soon... ears are pricked. You missed out any mention of “cheaper”.... high performance is easy... it’s the availability for mere mortals that counts! Are you are to indicate if it’s at the top/middle/bottom of our spectrum...

Yes - that is what I thought it looked like too (XQ30V Lite)
But - if it can hold Zero - not bad option for the money
I have used the lite and its fine for big game

Pulsar won't pay the royalties to go shutterless either.
A discounted Helion XQ38 should remain the good one to have for a good year. Clive with his WT1 the same. Someone will have to bring something pretty good and cost busting to beat what is on the table right now.
What have they got to play with?
12 Micron,
640 cores,
Refresh rates,
Software/Bluetooth extra toys,
Lens quality and size.

Not a lot of options until technology prices fall to compete with what they have done. Time one of the other big players got something for us.
A whole lots been done to market and sell what they have. Thats where the investment is going to go for next year me thinks.
