What are your opinion of the above got around 3 k to spend on s spotter

Agreed, The XQ38F is the best "bang for your buck" thermal spotter.
Can be had for around £1850-£1900

When i was asking about which one to get i was told by most that this is the cheapest best one to get--------and that's what i bought, i'm pleased with it.
I carnt speak for the more expensive thermals in how good recognition is better but i think that even the more expensive will need more conformation before taking the shot.
Rabbits can be identified at 100 yds foxes 150 yds and more, its when the range gets to 200yds+ that a fox can look like an hare, badger ect, i use mine to let me know that there is some thing there, for this its about the best spotter you can get, i then confirm it is what i think before taking the shot with night vision-----------if this was a rifle scope then it wouldn’t be good enough to id for shots over say 150 yds.

Is the above better than this one as i know the field of view is less XQ50F and is there anyone near me so i could have a look through 1

If you buy a XQ38 and don't like, it i will swap you for a as new XQ50F.
