Is there a confirmed price on these yet Clive, also what would it cost to upgrade a 700 to the new spec? may be simpler to sell my 700 and just buy one of the new models

Hi All,

A bit of progress from yesterday lunchtime.

The eyepiece end is sorted and tolerances tightened up on the focus mechanism so it's very smooth but no chance of vibrating loose and loosing it's setting. The finger grooves have also been widened so it's less of a faff to adjust. Image

Cheers

Hi Rod,

Not as yet. I need to wait until they have completed the run first.

It may be may be more cost effective to buy a new one.

Hi All,

Final machining check has been done. Here it is fitted to an MTC Mamba using an unfinished clamp:

The clamp can be used in any position and either way around depending on right or left handed and users preference.

We should have some finished bodies back from bead blasting and clamp rings back from anodising tomorrow so production on clearing the back orders will start.

Hi Stew,

The back log should be about 2 weeks to get through once we start on them tomorrow, then we will be building to current orders and for stock.

I've had a meeting again today with the CNC company and they will only know a final finished price for future runs, when they have completely finished this one and costed it all out. I am going to guess that this is going to put the price up on the respective units by about £50

We shall probably continue the price 'amnesty' until we have this new final price in the next few weeks. So any orders placed for the 800L or 800S will get the new design, but at the old price if customers don't mind waiting a couple of weeks for delivery.

Cheers
