It came out spot on Rod!

How the heck you came up with it being so precise from my mumbled uncreative brief is beyond me

The more I use it the more pleased I am. I've modified it now so your not having all the credit anyway  ......

I place a metal bar across the front lip in windy conditions

Rod, update on this...well, not your shooting truck but the awning...the awning is absolutely awesome! It's endured some real rough outings. I've outgrown the stone weights and invested in two tent guidelines and two tent pegs. With the guidelines attached to the top bar and fixed to the ground with the pegs the awning can be used in real windy conditions if you park the truck right. I've been meaning to post for ages to say it's brilliant, means I can be out or stay out on nights I'd have well and truly given up. It truly does the job brilliantly!

Glad to hear it works ok. May be a change of plan on mine, may end up using the Disco seeing as I bought a Range Rover I couldn't resist.  Disco is now spare but I don't want to sell it as I still really like it.
