Right result with thermal spotter

Postby garfy » 07 Feb 2017, 22:39

Dont normally bother with this sort of post but thought i would share.

Ive had a dog fox on my patch that ive been after for 12 months.
He lives on a well used footpath and is lamp, squeak and ir shy to the tune of 250-300 yds.
you turn on the spotter, he looks at you then sets off.
Enter the thermal spotter. Had it for 3 weeks
I spotted him tonight on the footpath 250 yrds away. The moon was bright and high.
Theres one large oak tree in the middle of the field, so using the thermal i stalked to him keeping the tree between me and him.
Got to the tree, got on the sticks, low and behold, no need for ir, didnt know i was there.
and that they say is a right result, the most dificult fox in the worst foxing conditions.

Just a 6.5 photon, Friday could see an upgrade to drone though as ive had ongoing zeroing issues and one fell to bits on me, however this one has actually maintained it zero for 15 shots now!!
