Foxing with the .223

Post by cliveward » 08 Feb 2018, 12:37

Hi All,

Dusted off the .223 for last nights foray and a bit of a play with the Ward D Vision 800L and little Black Sun Ruby BR20 IR.

Nice and still so the 36 Grain Varmint grenades were like laser beams even when pushing the range a bit.

I set the MTC Mamba on 7x giving a system mag of 9/10 ish and locked the IR out so not at it's tightest 'full chat' position.

Now with glorious sound...enjoy.

Excuse the lack of focus and wonkyness. We were out hunting, not documentary film making. :D

As an addition to the old chestnut of things not being captured on video anywhere near like how they are seen through the device...with the advances over the years we have made on the unit and the IR, with the Ruby and the display brightness turned right down...it really is just a lovely image to work with. Crisp, detailed and very easy on the eye.

Cheers

It's a tiny powered mic that's wired into the video out lead and powered by the Lawmate.

I think the sound adds a bit more to it. Bit of a pain editing out all the fumbling and swearing though.

Cheers
