AFAIK the bolt is legally regarded as a pressure bearing part of a rifle and therefore, if someone has one, it would have to be transferred from their FAC to yours.

Thanks Bruce that not a proem finding the Bolt will be hard. I am wounding if I could get it weld. It is the handle that has come away.

I think the the bolt handles on the Remington 700 are brazed on. Shouldn't be that hard for a gun smith to braze it back on and much cheaper than a new bolt.

You are right I have just had a good look at it. And it has been brazed on.
I have a mate I think he can do it for me, If knot I will have to take to the gun shop.

I'm thinking few gunshops would be equipped nor have much experience with brazing Pete.

Hoping to get my Bolt back tonight .I will see what kind of job my mate has done on it.
