Bob.
I have been down this route as I want to try the red lens bit on the cap of my N355 to see if it improves the daylight image, and didn`t get any response from members. I am now in the process of ordering one from Flir and have given them the part number, but they insist on a DP serial number. They have not asked for any payment, so it may be a freebe, If so, can you pm me your serial number and if it does not work on my N355 you can have it for just postage cost.

Great thanks Bob.
I will reply to their email today and keep you informed how it goes. Flir UK passed it onto the US so not sure how long it will be though.

Regards.

no worries david

i just fancy having a fixed lens cover rather than this crap rubber thing on it, it just gets in the way and causes loads of issues when out shooting,

thank you

bob.

Sorry Bob, but I am a bit confused. You want another screw on lens cover/filter so you can remove the red lens and replace it with a clear lens, that can be used in darkness ?

Okay I see. I think it will reduce the night capability but I understand the desire to experiment, hence my wish to try the red lens on the cover of my N355 and improve the daylight image. Cut IR filters work to a degree and sharpen the definition, but not the colour.
I have just had a reply from Flir USA to say my details have been forwarded to the distribution warehouse for delivery, still no mention of a fee.
