More range but a narrower beam which can leave a tunnel like shadow around the primeter of the screen Pete.

There is a plan 'B' now:

If you need more range I can instead fit a Black Sun pill to it for you at £40 including return RMSD - or a Black Sun Ruby pill (same cost) if you feel your quarry will stand for the extra visibility.

EDIT: ERM I can't remember if you have the old T50 torch or a newer EVO type?

Thanks Dave for your reply. I am thinking of buying a new one off you to go on my 243 how much would it cost for the best one you have I need it for long range foxing. Thanks Pete.

£318 posted RMSD with a T67 torch head and either a black Sun 1 pill or a Black Sun Ruby pill.
£308 posted RMSD with a T50 torch head and a Black Sun Ruby pill.

I feel long range fox are more likely to tolerate the ruby on full power - use low or medium power for proportionally closer ranges.

I've put two options because I can't recall what torch head you have and you might like to swap a smaller one onto the other rig: If its an EVO type - I can't remember.

I've wrote down your address - best edit it from your public post mate.

You are quite welcome to have one Pete, the best range is got from the beam when its quite near its tightest focus. Bigger aspheric lenses produce tighter beams, especially when used in front of tiny LED's. The concentrated beam will produce a definite tunnel effect leaving darkness around the outer part of the screen unless your scope is very tightly focused - making it harder to acquire... IMO.

It also produces the biggest circles of stray light well outside the beam that can alert off angle quarry that you won't see outside your scope view and you simply don't need the extra weight on the front of your rifle, especially with the extra range you have from the Ruby pill.

I have one here and I'll gladly change it for the 67mm lens at no extra cost if you want it but I don't think I could bring myself to actively recommend that screen effect to anyone - so its better for me if it goes TBH.

If your other KwikFit rig has a 67mm lens it might be usefull to you to be able to swap them around. I've not actually measured the difference but I think the AS LED in your other rig produces a wider beam than the Ruby pill.
